High in the mountains surrounded by snow-covered peaks hides a Shangri-La. A stream runs through the sanctuary, quickly running to the valley floor far below. Goats and sheep graze on the lush grasslands surrounding the village. A rider sees his destination in the distance and breathes a sigh of relief knowing he will soon be home. This was the scene I held in my mind as I created this piece.
